Summer is here, and the heat is on! Here are some tips to help keep your pet happy and comfortable throughout the summer months.
Keep a large bowl of fresh clean water available to your pet at all times.
Provide adequate shade for your pet, especially if your pet resides outdoors.
If you have to tie your pet up, do NOT leave him unattended. (It is possible that the rope or chain could get caught on something thus leaving your pet trapped in the sun).
Never mow the grass near your pet if it is tied up. (You may run over the chain or rope and the blades may cut or even kill your pet).
Never leave your pet in a vehicle! The heat will kill your pet. (Temperatures rise very quickly in vehicles, even on cloudy days and with the window rolled down an inch or two, so it is best to leave your pet home during the hot summer months).
